Strategic PR & Communications Lead

About the role

MyWhoosh is seeking a strategic PR & Communications professional to shape and execute external communications across the global cycling and sports ecosystem. The role will drive media relations, stakeholder engagement, and brand narrative management to strengthen the company’s reputation and visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the PR & Communications strategy aligned with business, marketing, and events objectives.
• Define annual priorities, deliverables, and KPIs for the communications function.
• Manage budgets, agency partners, and paid‑media initiatives.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with global and regional media outlets.
• Lead proactive earned‑media campaigns and respond to reactive media inquiries.
• Oversee media monitoring, sentiment analysis, and reputation risk reporting.
• Support executive profiling, thought‑leadership opportunities, and stakeholder communications with partners such as UCI and federations.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Events teams to ensure consistent messaging for launches, partnerships, and ambassador activities.
• Develop communication plans for new market entries and emerging media platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading PR and communications in the cycling, esports, or broader sports industry.
• Strong understanding of media landscapes, stakeholder ecosystems, and brand storytelling.
• Ability to craft clear, consistent messaging across multiple markets and channels.
• Track record of delivering measurable communication outcomes and managing agency relationships.
