Submission Officer – Healthcare Claims & Billing

About the role

The Submission Officer will manage and monitor healthcare insurance claims and billing processes at Corniche Hospital. This role ensures compliance with insurance policies, contractual agreements, and facility pricing guidelines while providing financial support to patients and clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and process inpatient and outpatient claims, including laboratory, radiology, and pharmaceutical services.
• Monitor compliance with insurance company terms, contractual agreements, and facility pricing structures.
• Generate, correct, and resubmit invoices and claims, addressing rejected or unpaid claims.
• Prepare statements of accounts and ensure accurate insurance documentation.
• Respond to financial inquiries from patients and specialty clinics.
• Compare cancelled receipts with cashiers to detect any irregularities.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams, contribute to process‑improvement initiatives, and develop procedural manuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related medical/health science field.
• AAPC or AHIMA certification.
• 2–4 years of progressive experience in healthcare claims or billing.
• Experience in a large healthcare facility is desirable.
