Tax Manager – Middle East, Africa & Russia

About the role

TikTok is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join its EMEA Tax team in Dubai. You will be responsible for tax compliance, planning and advisory across the Middle East, Africa and Russia, supporting the company’s growth in these regions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate income tax, VAT, DST and withholding tax compliance and reporting for the Middle East and Africa.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local tax authorities and external advisors.
• Monitor and analyse new tax legislation, especially digital‑economy taxes, and assess impact on the business.
• Validate tax data, reconcile VAT accounts, review general‑ledger entries and identify compliance risks.
• Review draft tax returns prepared by external advisors and conduct periodic compliance checks.
• Provide tax training to internal stakeholders and support tax aspects of business projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive tax experience in the Middle East/Africa region, preferably in a large multinational or professional services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation or a related professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of international tax principles and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
