Team Leader, Business Development (Offshore Chartering)

About the role

The Team Leader, Business Development (Offshore Chartering) will provide leadership and direction to the chartering team, shaping commercial strategies that align with ADNOC’s broader objectives. This role involves planning, coordinating, and participating in all phases of commercial processes to ensure transparent and competitive tendering.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the chartering team and supervise all commercial activities in the assigned area.
• Formulate and implement commercial strategies for charter‑in and charter‑out tendering.
• Participate in short‑, medium‑ and long‑term business strategy planning.
• Attend client and contractor meetings related to tendering.
• Support the Commercial Manager in achieving departmental objectives and compliance.
• Prepare, analyse, and summarise monthly management reports, recommending actions.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities and coach teams accordingly.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a chartering or maritime commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial strategy formulation and tendering processes.
• Ability to interpret commercial guidelines and provide clear clarifications.
• Excellent analytical skills for report evaluation and action planning.
