Visitor Services Manager – Al Fahidi Fort & Coins Museum

About the role

The Visitor Services Manager will lead the visitor experience across Al Fahidi Fort and Coins Museums, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and high‑quality customer service. Working on‑site in a fast‑paced environment, you will coordinate front‑of‑house operations, staff, and daily activities to create memorable museum visits.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily Visitor Services and front‑of‑house operations across both museums.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and a welcoming environment for all visitors.
• Monitor visitor flow, staffing levels, operational readiness and service delivery.
• Maintain safe and efficient museum operations in line with SOPs and emergency procedures.
• Oversee VIP visits, school groups, tourism partners, delegations and special events.
• Align visitor experience with museum standards and KPIs; act as escalation point for feedback and complaints.
• Drive continuous improvement of SOPs, procedures and visitor experience initiatives.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and direction to Visitor Services teams, supervising guides and front‑of‑house staff.
• Review schedules, duty rosters and staffing plans; conduct daily briefings.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
• Experience managing visitor services or front‑of‑house operations in cultural or heritage settings.
