Waiter – In‑Room Dining

About the role

The Waiter – In‑Room Dining joins the Food & Beverage team at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, delivering a premium dining experience directly to guests’ rooms. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving meals and beverages, and ensuring every interaction reflects the hotel’s high standards of service and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the In‑Room Dining menu, ingredients and preparation methods.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff, and ensure timely delivery.
• Present and serve dishes and drinks in a courteous, professional manner, adhering to service standards.
• Handle cash and credit transactions following proper cashiering procedures.
• Address guest inquiries, provide recommendations and resolve any service issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in hotel or fine‑dining room service or waitstaff roles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
