Warranty & Maintenance Technician – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Warranty and Maintenance Technician is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing complex transportation systems and equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and rapid corrective maintenance (CM) on electrical and propulsion systems.
• Diagnose root‑cause failures using electrical and pneumatic schematics and diagnostic software data.
• Log all maintenance activities, parts used, and technical findings in the CMMS for fleet history and traceability.
• Perform electrical work in line with work instructions and strict safety protocols.
• Board trains during active service to carry out real‑time diagnostics and maintain operational continuity.
• Record findings, part replacements, and engine hour data accurately using MS Excel.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–4 years of experience in rolling‑stock maintenance (PM/CM environment).
• Willingness to work a rotational shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
• Strong experience with diesel‑electric power generation and engine mechanics is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in overhaul or heavy maintenance is a significant advantage.
• Experience with digital maintenance management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar.
• Valid UAE driving licence (preferred).
