Whole School Arabic A Lead

About the role

The Whole School Arabic A Lead will steer the Arabic A programme across both Primary and Secondary phases at GEMS International School – Dubai Hills. Reporting to senior school leadership, the role ensures high‑quality teaching, learning and student achievement while aligning with KHDA and UAE Ministry of Education standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous development of the Arabic A curriculum school‑wide.
• Coach, mentor and support Arabic A teachers to enhance instructional practice.
• Monitor student progress, analyse assessment data and devise strategies to raise achievement.
• Ensure full compliance with KHDA and UAE Ministry of Education regulations.
• Oversee curriculum planning, assessment moderation and quality‑assurance processes.
• Foster a collaborative culture of professional learning within the Arabic department.
• Partner with school leadership to drive whole‑school improvement priorities.
• Promote Arabic language and UAE culture through school initiatives and events.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with appropriate teaching credentials.
• Proven leadership experience within an Arabic department.
• Deep knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and KHDA requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to outstanding student outcomes and contribution to the wider school community.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of UAE Ministry of Education standards.
• In‑depth knowledge of KHDA inspection framework.
