Account Director, Partnerships

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead day‑to‑day client relationships and partnership activation across our sponsorship portfolio. You will shape strategy, drive activation, and mentor a team while collaborating with cross‑functional partners to deliver impactful brand experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day client relationship and partnership activation programming for the client’s sponsorship portfolio.
• Develop and implement partnership strategy and activation, evaluate new sponsorship opportunities and support contract negotiations.
• Provide strategic thinking and recommendations for the client and the agency at large.
• Liaise with the wider account team to ensure connectivity across all workstreams.
• Lead and mentor direct reports.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and relevant agency partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 8+ years of agency or client‑based sponsorship account management experience in sports and entertainment.
• Experience managing development and implementation of a client’s sponsorship portfolio and activations.
• Oversight of key client budgets.
• Prior experience managing a team and day‑to‑day relationships with clients, agencies, and vendors.
• Experience with sponsorship contract negotiations and event marketing operations/logistics.
• Proven ability to prioritize workflow, manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
