Account Manager - Telco

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring an Account Manager for telco customers. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. It covers managing one or several large accounts or acting as account lead for a major account, driving profitability and pipeline while building strong customer and partner relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customers' business challenges and goals into IT opportunities and build a business value framework
• Build and execute a recurring growth and profitability plan, presenting technology choices that expand HPE's presence and margin
• Lead pipeline building and deal closure with a multi-disciplinary team including partners
• Develop relationships with customer executives and key influencers, and engage the customer's CTO/CIO
• Manage the partner landscape and run an active governance process for the partner network
• Build, develop and lead the extended account team, running governance and giving regular feedback
• Keep up to date with IT trends and present HPE's portfolio to executives
• Share feedback with other HPE organizations to improve the customer experience

Required profile

• University or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience; engineering or technology education, advanced degree or MBA desired
• Typically 6-10+ years of account management experience
• Experience in the IT industry, in an IT department, in a vertical industry or in different sales roles is a plus
