Account Manager – Telecommunications

About the role

The Account Manager – Telecommunications will lead and grow HPE’s relationships with large telco customers. Working hybrid, you will spend part of the week in an HPE office and the rest engaging with customers and partners to align IT solutions with their business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage one or several major accounts or act as lead for a strategic portion of a top account.
• Understand customers’ IT and business priorities and translate them into HPE solution proposals.
• Drive business performance across HPE business units and optimise account profitability.
• Build and maintain pipelines, support deal closing and coordinate cross‑functional deal teams.
• Develop relationships with key influencers and decision‑makers in both IT and business functions.
• Engage the extended partner ecosystem to maximise HPE presence within the account.
• Continuously expand industry knowledge to position HPE’s portfolio effectively.
• Provide feedback and guidance to the extended account team and act as the customer’s advocate inside HPE.

Required profile

• Advanced subject‑matter expertise in complex business and IT environments.
• Proven ability to solve multifaceted problems and influence senior executives.
• Experience leading functional project teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong independent judgment and ability to represent the organization externally.
