Accountant – Chemical Trading (Dubai)

About the role

The client is seeking an experienced Accountant to support their chemical trading operations in Dubai. The role involves managing financial transactions related to import‑export activities and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process Letters of Credit (LC), including documentation and coordination with banks.
• Handle banking procedures for import and export operations.
• Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliations.
• Ensure UAE VAT accounting, documentation, and compliance.
• Support UAE Corporate Tax calculations and reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Hands‑on experience with Letters of Credit (LC).
• Strong knowledge of import‑export banking procedures.
• Experience in financial reporting, accounts receivable and payable.
• Practical knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Background in trading or manufacturing; chemical industry experience preferred.
