Accountant - Events (Freelance)

About the role

Legends Global is seeking a freelance Accountant to manage the financial side of its event portfolio. You will work closely with operations, project managers, vendors and clients to ensure each event is financially sound and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with event teams to process all financial transactions, including settlements, accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare accurate event invoices, monitor outstanding balances and follow up on collections.
• Produce monthly financial, profitability and budget variance reports.
• Perform bank, cash and credit‑card reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain the general ledger with proper supporting documentation.
• Monitor event budgets, identify variances and report significant deviations to management.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA) preferred.
• 3‑4 years of accounting experience, preferably in events, hospitality, entertainment or project‑based environments.
• UAE National applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Must have own visa/sponsorship for freelance agreement.
