Accountant – Finance & Operations

About the role

BBGC is seeking a hands‑on accounting professional to support its finance and operations activities across the UAE and international locations. The role combines core accounting duties with operational support, ideal for an organised and accurate candidate comfortable working with multiple currencies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping, general ledger, and month‑end close for UAE and overseas entities.
• Prepare bank, credit‑card and inter‑company reconciliations, and manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Generate client invoices in multiple currencies, validate consultant timesheets, and track project billing and expenses.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns, support corporate tax compliance, and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Process monthly payroll with WPS compliance, calculate end‑of‑service gratuities, and support payroll for international team members.
• Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding activities, including visas, contracts, insurance, and asset returns.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3‑5 years of accounting experience, at least 2 years in the UAE.
• Hands‑on UAE VAT experience and working knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax.
• Experience with UAE payroll and WPS.
• Professional English communication and client‑facing manner.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
• Multi‑currency and multi‑entity accounting knowledge.
