Accountant – Floral & E‑Commerce (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Accountant to manage the full financial operations of a fast‑growing floral and e‑commerce business in Dubai. The role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping, focusing on cash‑flow optimisation, process improvement and supporting the company’s financial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end bookkeeping and accounting operations.
• Prepare financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow reports.
• Handle VAT and corporate tax filing and ensure compliance with Dubai regulations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
• Reconcile e‑commerce payouts, POS systems, bank statements and other financial records.
• Monitor cash flow, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain proper inventory costing and reporting for floral products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in e‑commerce, retail or floral/FMCG environments.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Experience with e‑commerce platforms such as Shopify, Talabat, Deliveroo, Instashop, Amazon or WooCommerce.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities; CPA/CMA certification is a plus.
