Accountant – Immediate Joiner – UAE Contracting Firm

About the role

A contracting company located in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah is seeking an Accountant for an immediate start. The role focuses on daily accounting functions, maintaining precise general ledgers, processing financial transactions, and supporting the financial workflow of contracting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily bookkeeping, general ledger posting, and balance‑sheet transactions.
• Prepare and process accounting entries, payables, receivables, and supporting vouchers.
• Assist in periodic financial closing, bank reconciliations, and routine financial report preparation.
• Maintain complete audit trails, physical files, and digital ledger archives for all financial transactions.
• Liaise across departments to collect billing data and resolve ledger variances efficiently.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2–3 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in the contracting industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices, financial reporting standards, and immediate‑joiner availability.
• Organizational skills and ability to work closely with operational units.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard accounting software.
• Experience with inventory/contracting ledgers.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
