Accountant

About the role

Al Barakah Dates Factory, a leading food manufacturing company in the region, is hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant for its Finance Team in Dubai Industrial City, UAE. Only candidates currently based in the UAE will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting tasks including journal entries, ledger maintenance and accurate data entry in the ERP system.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury teams to ensure timely transaction processing.
• Assist in preparing periodic financial reports such as monthly MIS, balance sheet reconciliations and income statement schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, ensuring documentation and adjustments are accurately recorded.
• Work with internal departments to gather and validate financial information.
• Take part in ongoing finance and accounting projects, supporting areas needing improvement or automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with UAE accounting standards and practices is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A UAE driving licence or willingness to relocate near Dubai Industrial City is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting systems.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
