Accountant – Medical Device Company, Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join a reputable medical device company in Dubai. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end and year‑end processes, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and review vendor payments, invoices, and reconciliations.
• Perform bank, supplier, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Support financial and management reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit UAE VAT returns with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required schedules and reports.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain vendor master data and support procurement‑related accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a B2B multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• SAP (or similar ERP system).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
