Accountant - Revenue Recognition & WIP Reconciliation

About the role

Elliott is looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Accountant to join its Shared Services Center (SSC) team in Abu Dhabi. You will own revenue recognition, WIP reconciliations and departmental compliance under IFRS, local GAAP and J-SOX, acting as a financial partner across Elliott Entities, Repairs Operations and regional leadership in EMA. The role ensures precise reporting, strong internal controls and timely month-end close.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure monthly revenue is fully reconciled on time according to the finance closing schedule, with costs correctly linked to each job and presented to the Finance Manager as part of month-end close.
• Reconcile all Work in Progress (WIP) balances on time, tracking milestones and investigating variances.
• Calculate cost accruals for unreceived internal costs and cost overage accruals where job costs exceed authorized Purchase Orders.
• Adhere strictly to IFRS, local GAAP and J-SOX internal control frameworks.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, substantiate accounts and resolve open reconciling items promptly.
• Manage the accurate preparation and calculation of monthly commission payments.
• Review bank payment requests against supporting documentation and process approvals within delegated authorization limits.
• Support the SSC Accounting Manager and entity Finance Managers with ad-hoc reporting, technical analysis and audit requirements.
• Liaise with other Elliott Entities on intercompany revenues, costs and accruals, and work with Repairs Operations and management on job status and costs.
• Support the wider SSC team and cover key operational roles when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance.
• A recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CA, CPA or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clear verbal and written communication across cross-functional teams.

• Expert use of the organization's computerized systems, ERP platforms and financial software.
• Advanced Excel.
