Accountant – UAE Accounting & VAT Experience

About the role

Butler Engineering LLC is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to support the financial operations of its fire engineering and life‑safety business in Dubai. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks while collaborating with management and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, including preparation of invoices, receipts and payment records.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitor client payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with UAE VAT calculations, filing and compliance requirements.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and provide financial information to management.
• Coordinate payroll and employee‑related financial records as needed.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
• Support auditors and fulfill audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–4 years of UAE accounting experience, including VAT, AP/AR and bank reconciliations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations.
