Accounting Executive – Premium Accounting

About the role

The Accounting Executive will manage the insurance premium accounting cycle, ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation and timely settlement of premiums. Working in a technology‑enabled finance environment, the role supports both internal efficiency and external revenue generation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and record premium receipts from brokers and allocate them to the correct underwriting accounts.
• Perform cash clearing, reconcile underwriting records, broker statements and bank receipts, and investigate discrepancies.
• Track outstanding premiums, follow up with brokers and process settlements to participating insurers.
• Maintain and reconcile Insurance Bank Accounts on a monthly basis.
• Review monthly and quarterly bordereaux reports for completeness and accuracy, validating data against the underwriting platform.
• Leverage automation tools, digital reconciliation processes and data analytics to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience in premium accounting or similar finance functions within the insurance sector.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and applicable accounting principles.
• Ability to work with technology‑driven processes and data‑focused analysis.
