Activities Officer – Recreation & Guest Services

About the role

The Activities Officer is the primary point of contact for all recreation and leisure services on the property. You will guide guests through the available facilities, encourage participation, and ensure a safe, enjoyable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information on pools, beach, entertainment zone, fitness centre and children’s activities.
• Recruit, register and schedule guests for recreational programmes.
• Promote safety rules and respond to emergencies according to local procedures.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments for rentals, activities and retail sales.
• Assist with private functions, group events and special activities.
• Monitor facilities, clean and maintain equipment, and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, and support individuals with disabilities.
• Answer telephone enquiries using professional etiquette.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk and lift objects up to 25 lb unaided (heavier items with assistance).
• Ability to work extended shifts in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment.
• Awareness of safety protocols and capability to assist injured guests until medical help arrives.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a focus on delivering high‑quality guest experiences.
