AI Security Engineer (Azure OpenAI) - 1-Year Renewable Contract

About the role

A client in Abu Dhabi is looking for a junior to mid-level AI Security Engineer on a 1-year renewable contract, working client-side. The role sits at the forefront of securing enterprise AI and GenAI solutions, alongside cybersecurity, cloud and AI specialists, covering AI platforms, applications and data across the AI lifecycle. It offers hands-on exposure to Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, LLMs, RAG solutions and emerging AI security practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct AI security assessments and threat modelling.
• Secure Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services and AI-enabled applications.
• Test for prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage and AI misuse.
• Secure APIs, identities, secrets and cloud environments.
• Review RAG solutions and AI data flows.
• Implement security controls such as RBAC, managed identities, encryption and private networking.
• Support AI monitoring, governance and risk management.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of cybersecurity engineering experience with hands-on security implementation, assessment or operations.
• Practical experience in AI Security, GenAI Security or LLM Security.
• Experience securing AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry or Azure Machine Learning.
• Knowledge of AI threat modelling, prompt injection, jailbreak testing, RAG security and AI risk assessments.
• Understanding of Azure security, IAM, RBAC, managed identities, API security and data protection.
• UAE-based candidates only; client-site based.

Required skills

• Advantageous: DevSecOps, security monitoring, Python or PowerShell.
