AI Solutions Architect - Pre-Sales (UAE)

About the role

The AI Solution Engineer is a senior, hands-on member of the pre-sales team who shapes credible enterprise AI solutions and proves they work. The role covers technical discovery, architecture, prototyping, estimation and client presentation, moving from executive use-case discussions to building and demonstrating working solutions on the Microsoft AI stack. It is open to candidates based in the UAE and India.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with clients' business, data, security and technology stakeholders, turning priorities into qualified AI use cases and a practical delivery approach.
• Design secure, scalable architectures for generative AI, agentic AI, conversational AI, intelligent search, document intelligence and AI apps on the Microsoft cloud stack.
• Build working demonstrations, accelerators and proof-of-concepts, not just mock-ups, to validate feasibility, UX, integration and value.
• Own the technical workstream of RFPs, RFIs and proposals, including architecture, scope, assumptions, dependencies, non-functional requirements, effort estimates, bill of materials and delivery risks.
• Define RAG, grounding, tool-use, memory, orchestration, evaluation, observability and human-in-the-loop patterns per use case.
• Assess model and platform choices against quality, latency, throughput, security, data residency, responsible AI and cost, explaining trade-offs to technical and executive audiences.
• Present solutions in workshops, reviews, demos and bids, and answer questions from enterprise architecture, cybersecurity and procurement teams.
• Work with account, industry and delivery teams to shape opportunities and identify reusable assets, and support technical due diligence, implementation planning and handover after award.
• Maintain knowledge of Microsoft AI services, reference architectures and licensing, and turn it into reusable pre-sales assets.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, AI/ML engineering or enterprise solution consulting.
• At least 5 years designing and building generative AI solutions with large language models, including enterprise RAG and/or AI agents.
• Demonstrable experience delivering AI or advanced analytics solutions beyond proof-of-concept, with production engineering, security, monitoring and operational support.
• Proven client-facing experience in discovery, presentations, technical writing, estimation and proposal development for complex enterprise opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Required skills

• Hands-on Python and APIs/SDKs; C#/.NET is advantageous.
• LLM patterns: prompt and context engineering, embeddings, vector and hybrid retrieval, tool/function calling, agent orchestration, evaluation and guardrails.
• Integrating AI with enterprise apps, APIs, databases, document repositories and identity platforms.
• Cloud security: Entra ID, managed identities, private networking, secrets management, RBAC, data privacy and responsible AI controls.
• Architecture diagrams, sequence flows, sizing models and implementation plans under bid deadlines.

Preferred: Microsoft Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate (AI-103) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305); experience in regulated or government environments; Azure AI consumption and licensing estimation; reusable accelerators and reference architectures.
