Aircraft Technician - Base Maintenance (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates is hiring an Aircraft Technician for its Base Maintenance team in Dubai. The team delivers service for all aircraft checks, from inspections to major system repairs, including cabin retrofits, aircraft deliveries and detailed inspection programmes for Airbus A380, A350 and Boeing 777. The technician performs maintenance on Emirates and third-party aircraft and components in line with company procedures and regulations, working as part of a team under the direction of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of aircraft, engines and components, and approved structural repairs in line with manufacturer procedures.
• Follow safety procedures during fluid replenishment, refuelling and systems charging or servicing.
• Complete component replacements and other maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor, using the AMM, IPC, CMM, SRM or other OEM-approved documentation.
• Support Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Approved/Licensed Technicians with troubleshooting, repairs and modifications according to job cards.
• Finish work promptly, report defects quickly and ensure accurate shift handovers.
• Maintain a strong safety culture, keeping work areas clean and free of FOD, and audit tools, vehicles and equipment in line with airport safety regulations.
• Hold a valid Airport Driving Permit and comply with manoeuvring area requirements.
• Contribute to team objectives and continuous improvement, and help with resource allocation and departmental projects when needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years in engineering vocational or diploma (12+2 or equivalent) graduate in engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance or equivalent training with a reputable airline or an approved maintenance organisation, or an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License.
• At least two years of on-the-job training in an airline or an approved maintenance organisation.
• Safety-sensitive role.
