Airport Emergency Planning Manager (UAE National)

About the role

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is hiring an Airport Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Planning Manager (UAE National). The role develops, implements and manages the airport's emergency response, business continuity, crisis management and communicable disease plans in line with GCAA and federal and local regulations, reporting directly to the CEO / Accountable Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update the Airport Emergency Plan for aircraft incidents, natural disasters and disease outbreaks, and coordinate with fire, medical, police and health authorities
• Design and implement the Business Continuity Plan, identifying critical activities and risks and integrating lessons learned from incidents and exercises
• Maintain the Airport Crisis Management Plan and the Crisis Management Team, and run tabletop, partial and full-scale crisis exercises
• Run regular training, tabletop exercises and full-scale drills with airport staff and emergency responders, and evaluate them after each exercise
• Carry out risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies, monitoring emerging diseases and extreme weather
• Ensure regulatory compliance, keep accurate records for audits and inspections, and prepare incident, plan revision and after-action reports for regulators
• Oversee emergency facilities and equipment, activate the Airport Emergency Operations Centre during incidents, and lead post-incident analysis
• Prepare the financial budget projection for the department and liaise internally with all departments and externally with the GCAA, DCA, civil defence, health and police ministries and airlines

Required profile

• Graduation or professional qualification related to emergency planning and business continuity
• 8+ years of experience in airport emergency management, business continuity or crisis management
• Experience leading multi-agency coordination and incident command structures
• Track record of planning and running training exercises, drills and simulations
• Applied knowledge of industrial ISO standards and emergency response; senior management experience in emergency planning or business continuity
• Experience interfacing with regulatory bodies
