Approvals Engineer

About the role

The Approvals Engineer will lead the approvals process for commercial office fit‑out projects in Dubai. Working closely with design, construction and client teams, you will ensure that all permits, NOCs and authority clearances are obtained on schedule to support successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate authority approvals for commercial office fit‑out projects.
• Prepare, review and submit drawings and documentation to relevant authorities and building management teams.
• Liaise with authorities, landlords, consultants, contractors and internal teams throughout the approvals process.
• Monitor submission progress and proactively follow up to secure approvals within project timelines.
• Review drawings for compliance with authority regulations and submission requirements.
• Address authority comments, coordinate revisions and resubmit documentation promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of approvals, permits and related project documentation.
• Support project and design teams in resolving approval‑related issues.
• Stay up‑to‑date with local authority regulations and approval procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Proven experience as an Approvals Engineer, Authority Coordinator or similar role within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of Dubai authority approval processes and regulatory requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, TECOM, Trakhees and other relevant authorities.
• Background in commercial office fit‑out, interiors or Design & Build projects is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
