Arabic-Speaking Finance Intern (AR/AP)

About the role

Odoo Dubai is looking for a motivated finance intern to learn Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations, invoice processing, payment reconciliation and financial reporting. The internship suits someone who is detail-oriented, organized and eager to learn.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts and track outstanding receivables, and support allocation of payments against invoices.
• Review bank statements and payment records, reconcile customer receipts and prepare customer statements of account.
• Follow up internally on overdue invoices, payment discrepancies and outstanding balances, and investigate short or duplicate payments.
• Support invoice verification and the preparation of AR aging reports.
• Review supplier invoices against purchase orders and approvals, record them in the accounting system and support supplier statement reconciliations.
• Maintain records of supplier invoices, credit notes and payment documents, and help prepare payment lists and monitor upcoming due dates.
• Verify employee expense claims and reimbursement documentation where applicable.

Required profile

• English and Arabic speakers; currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 0-1 year of experience; valid residency visa (Golden visa or family-sponsored) and valid medical insurance.
• Basic understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable; good attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of ERP or accounting systems is an advantage.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering and data validation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
