Arabic Teacher for Arabic speakers

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Arabic A teacher to join GEMS Winchester School Fujairah. The role involves delivering student‑centred Arabic lessons to native Arabic speakers and contributing to the school’s academic and pastoral community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective, student‑centred Arabic lessons in a vibrant learning environment.
• Collaborate closely with middle leaders, administrators and fellow teachers to improve pedagogy and student outcomes.
• Contribute to team planning, curriculum development and quality‑assurance processes.
• Support the school’s Quality Assurance programme for parent engagement and communication.
• Mentor and coach colleagues, especially in a context where most staff are not UK‑trained.
• Participate in peer observations, appraisal actions and continuous professional development.
• Ensure lesson documentation, schemes of work and assessment records meet GEMS and WSF standards.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced Arabic A teacher, preferably UK‑trained.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver student‑centred instruction and differentiate learning.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with leaders, administrators and peers.
• Commitment to the school’s Code of Conduct and GEMS Core Values.
