Art Teacher (British Curriculum) – September Start

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join GEMS Education in Fujairah for the September start of the academic year. The role involves delivering Art & Design lessons that follow the British curriculum and inspire students across Key Stages.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Art & Design lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
• Inspire students to develop creative skills, confidence and artistic techniques.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and cross‑curricular initiatives.
• Organise and support art exhibitions, displays and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain high standards of classroom practice, health and safety.
• Participate actively in the wider life of the school.

Required profile

• A recognised teaching qualification (BA or equivalent) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Art within the British curriculum.
• Strong subject knowledge across a range of artistic media and techniques.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Enthusiasm for collaborative working and continuous professional development.
