Assistant Accountant

About the role

The Assistant Accountant will handle daily site‑level accounting operations for EPC construction projects, ensuring accurate recording of expenses and compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and book site expense vouchers, sort supporting documents, and reconcile project‑related accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, including general ledger bookkeeping, AP/AR reconciliation, and inter‑company matching.
• Prepare VAT supporting documents, compile data for VAT return filing, and ensure compliance with UAE VAT rules.
• Process payment applications from subcontractors and suppliers, and maintain site‑finance filing systems.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, and contract teams to gather financial information and liaise with head‑office finance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in UAE corporate or construction/EPC environments.
• Proven ability to manage full‑cycle accounting, VAT filing, and tax compliance independently.
