About the role
The Assistant Category Manager supports the Category Buyer in developing and executing product strategies for the makeup category at Watsons across the UAE. The role involves coordinating merchandising activities, managing stock levels, and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to drive sales and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Assist and coordinate merchandising and promotional activities, ensuring successful execution and timely store assortments.
- Develop performance reports, in‑store stock analysis, and allocation plans to maximize results.
- Manage purchase orders in SAP, raise discrepancy reports, and handle supplier queries.
- Maintain correct stock levels, meet sales, gross margin and inventory turn targets, and analyze location performance.
Required profile
- Experience in a similar retail role, preferably within the GCC beauty sector.
- Strong decision‑making, networking and relationship‑building abilities.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work in a deadline‑driven environment.
