Assistant Fraud Prevention & Investigations Manager

About the role

Emirates Islamic Bank is looking for an Assistant Fraud Prevention & Investigations Manager in Dubai. The role sits within the bank's retail credit and fraud prevention function, reviewing applications, investigating suspicious cases and strengthening fraud controls.

Key responsibilities

• Review retail credit applications and supporting documents to identify potential fraud indicators and prevent fraudulent applications.
• Monitor fraud alerts, triggers and application workflows, ensuring timely review and escalation of suspicious cases.
• Conduct preliminary investigations into suspected fraud cases and coordinate with the Fraud Investigation team.
• Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend improvements to strengthen fraud prevention controls.
• Support the development and implementation of fraud prevention policies, procedures and monitoring systems.
• Liaise with Retail Credit, internal stakeholders and card networks to address fraud-related concerns.
• Support fraud awareness and training initiatives for frontline and underwriting teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma, preferably in Business, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of banking experience, preferably in Retail Banking, Credit Operations or Fraud Management.
• Experience in fraud prevention, particularly within credit cards and retail banking.
• Good understanding of retail credit processes, fraud detection and risk controls.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
