Assistant Manager – Financial Planning

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Financial Planning leads the Business Financial Planning unit, delivering budgets, forecasts and long‑range plans for revenue‑generating activities, especially the leasing business of Expo City Dubai’s asset management subsidiary.

Key responsibilities

• Manage annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and long‑range planning cycles for assigned revenue streams.
• Develop integrated revenue, cost, capex, cash‑flow and profitability projections with clear assumptions.
• Oversee leasing business plans, occupancy, rent, service income and lease escalation assumptions.
• Partner with Commercial, Leasing, Asset Management, Hospitality, Food & Beverage and Operations to monitor performance and drive corrective actions.
• Review business cases for leasing, F&B, hotels and other commercial initiatives, providing financial challenge and decision‑support.
• Coordinate month‑end accruals, pre‑payments and forecast updates, produce dashboards and management reports.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Strong analytical, commercial evaluation and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage concurrent deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Practical experience with ERP, planning and business intelligence systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce and Power BI.
