Assistant Manager – Learning & Development

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Learning & Development will design, implement and oversee training programmes across the GCC for Apparel Group’s corporate functions. The role supports career development, sets performance metrics and ensures alignment with sales objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver all training activities for corporate functions in the GCC.
• Develop new learning initiatives based on business needs and maintain the annual training calendar.
• Guide the training team to improve conversion rates through effective methodologies.
• Conduct cost‑effective training solutions and acquire product knowledge of new brands.
• Review feedback, recommend material updates and ensure best practices are followed.
• Measure training delivery, maintain records and design courses for a multicultural workforce.
• Initiate in‑store and leadership programmes to enhance people skills.
• Visit corporate offices to assess back‑office staff skills and provide feedback.
• Supervise the training team and handle manpower planning for the department.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in training, human resources or retail operations.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation and organisational abilities.
• Proven track record of coordinating and facilitating training initiatives.
• Ability to adapt to the dynamic retail environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
