Assistant Manager – Mechanical (Solar PV)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Mechanical will lead the installation and supervision of photovoltaic (PV) mounting structures, trackers and related mechanical components. This role ensures projects meet technical, safety and quality standards while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install and supervise PV mounting structures, trackers and mechanical components.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks against project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, civil/electrical engineers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and QA/QC requirements.
• Maintain progress reports, QA documentation and as‑built drawings.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in large‑scale Solar PV projects.

Required skills

• Experience with PV mounting systems and trackers.
• Strong mechanical installation and design knowledge.
• Problem‑solving skills for mechanical issues.
