Assistant Manager, People Development

About the role

Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, part of the Accor group, is looking for an Assistant Manager, People Development. The role covers training, quality assurance and employee development across the property, working closely with the regional office, the People & Culture team and department heads.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and update technical training manuals and tools per field, coordinate yearly performance reviews for supervisory staff, order and distribute training certificates, and compile course requirements and attendance.
• Ensure up-to-date course materials and job descriptions for in-house departmental trainers, and implement hotel Learning & Development standards.
• Train in-house departmental trainers, supervise internal technical training, set monthly training schedules, oversee the induction programme and drive e-learning.
• Follow up on external courses (including Accor Academy / HERO Learning modules) so learning is applied in the workplace.
• Lead quality assurance planning, run monthly quality meetings, monitor guest feedback and staff performance, conduct internal audits and inspections, and review brand compliance assessments.
• Ensure annual individual development plans are prepared for Heads of Departments and below, and coach managers and staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• 2 years of experience in L&D roles within the hospitality industry with a track record.
• Proven experience managing and directing learning or organisation development programmes in a multi-unit organisation.
• Knowledge of the Operational Standards Manual and the Trust You and Quality systems.
