Assistant Operations Manager - Transport

About the role

Transguard Group is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager for its Transport division at the DAFZA headquarters. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee daily passenger transportation operations, manage fleet compliance, and drive cost‑control initiatives across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for the operational P&L, monitoring spend against budget and reporting variances.
• Execute vehicle scheduling, route planning and manage transport services for employees.
• Implement fleet and operational policies, ensuring compliance with TG standards.
• Analyze vehicle, driver and schedule patterns to optimise usage and reduce costs.
• Manage transport suppliers, obtain quotes for new routes and handle ad‑hoc requests.
• Maintain the Transport Risk Register and address identified vehicle risks.
• Assess driver and staff performance, provide reports and drive development.
• Lead the deployment of smart routing and scheduling using GPS and TMS tools.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics (bachelor’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in large‑fleet transport operations; passenger transport experience is an advantage.
