Assistant Professor in PR and Advertising

About the role

Abu Dhabi University is seeking a dynamic Assistant Professor to teach and develop programmes in Public Relations and Advertising. The position is full‑time and involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising projects and contributing to research and industry collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, seminars and practical workshops in PR, advertising, brand communication and digital media.
• Prepare, update and assess course materials, assignments and examinations.
• Supervise student projects and theses, providing academic advising and feedback.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous programme improvement.
• Conduct research, publish scholarly work and engage with industry partners.
• Contribute to departmental service and university committees.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in Public Relations, Advertising, Strategic Communication, Brand Management or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Active research record with publications or creative industry outputs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to integrate theory with practice.

Required skills

• Knowledge of public relations theory and practice.
• Understanding of advertising strategies and brand communication.
• Familiarity with digital media campaign planning.
