Assistant Professor of Accounting

About the role

The College of Business Administration at Ajman University seeks an Assistant Professor of Accounting to join its faculty starting Spring 2026/2027. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, conduct research, and engage with the business community.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess courses in Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and related subjects.
• Adopt innovative, technology‑enhanced teaching methods.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in top‑tier journals.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
• Offer consultancy and industry‑facing services to university partners.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Accounting from a reputable, preferably AACSB‑accredited institution.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is preferred.
• At least two years of teaching experience at an internationally reputable university.
• Strong record of peer‑reviewed publications in recognized accounting journals.
• Experience supervising student projects and dissertations.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional and community service.

Required skills

• Expertise in managerial accounting, computerized accounting, taxation, and auditing.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and research.
