Assistant Professor - Statistics

About the role

The United Arab Emirates University is inviting applications for a faculty position in Statistics. Candidates at assistant professor level are preferred, but candidates at other levels will also be considered. The position is open until 31 December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses and advise students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research programme in your area of expertise.
• Publish research findings in refereed journals.
• Actively promote the growth of the university.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate in Statistics; the ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must.
• Industrial and professional experience is a plus.
• Preferred: PhD in statistics with solid teaching and research experience, and industrial or consulting experience.
• English is the language of instruction and communication.
