Associate - Debt Capital Markets Transactions

About the role

The Associate will support the origination, structuring and execution of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions for Standard Chartered in Dubai. You will work closely with clients, syndicate teams and third‑party advisors to deliver tailored DCM solutions and ensure smooth transaction execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regular client interactions and provide customised DCM solutions.
• Prepare and update pitch books, marketing material and transaction documentation.
• Conduct daily/weekly global credit market analysis and produce market updates.
• Set up automated Excel databases and extract quantitative data from Bloomberg for presentations.
• Handle Islamic and conventional bond documentation throughout deal execution.
• Coordinate weekly syndicate calls and lead documentation update calls.
• Organise deal and non‑deal roadshows, collate investor feedback, and liaise with auditors, legal counsel and rating agencies.
• Secure internal and external approvals to comply with audit and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in capital markets or DCM is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business or Economics.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and collaboration abilities.
• Fluent English; good knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data modelling and presentation.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg terminal for data extraction and market analysis.
