Associate Director – Corporate & Institutional Banking (UAE National)

About the role

HSBC’s Corporate and Institutional Banking division is seeking a UAE national to join its Dubai team as an Associate Director. The role focuses on supporting relationship managers in managing and growing long‑term relationships with large UAE corporate clients, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and contributing to revenue generation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact, alongside the relationship manager, for client and internal service requests.
• Prepare briefing notes for client meetings and conduct detailed credit analysis, including financial, industry and competitor reviews.
• Draft credit application remarks for new deals and annual reviews, and submit credit risk returns and control reports.
• Liaise with Credit Operations, Risk, and product partners to meet client needs and support KYC requirements.
• Assist the relationship manager in developing strategies to enhance relationship profitability and identify early credit issues.
• Contribute to revenue targets, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost‑containment objectives.

Required profile

• UAE national with several years of experience in corporate or institutional banking.
• Strong analytical ability and understanding of credit risk assessment.
• Proven track record of supporting senior relationship managers and delivering client‑focused solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Credit analysis and financial modelling.
• Knowledge of KYC and regulatory compliance processes.
• Familiarity with banking products such as advisory, financing, transaction banking and securities services.
