Associate Electrical Engineer (UAE National)

About the role

Join Vanderlande’s Dubai team as an Associate Electrical Engineer, supporting the design and implementation of baggage handling systems for major airports. This role offers hands‑on experience in automation technology within an airport logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with electrical designs, layout drawings, wiring diagrams and related documentation.
• Prepare material, technical and design submittals throughout concept, detailed and final design stages.
• Support site activities such as equipment installation, electrical inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Review project specifications to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
• Update as‑built drawings, cable schedules, panel layouts and other electrical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, circuits and components.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts in an airport environment and adhere to HSSE procedures.

Required skills

• Familiarity with VFDs, motors, sensors and field devices.
• Understanding of PLC/Controls integration and automation sequences.
• Ability to perform basic load analysis, voltage drop calculations, cable sizing and protection coordination.
• Experience with electrical inspections, testing and commissioning processes.
