Associate – Insolvency & Dispute Resolution

About the role

Walkers is seeking an ambitious, technically strong lawyer to join its market‑leading Insolvency & Dispute Resolution (IDR) team in Dubai. You will work alongside leading practitioners, advising a diverse client base on both contentious and non‑contentious matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on a wide range of financial services matters, including trust, funds, corporate and multi‑jurisdictional commercial disputes.
• Handle contentious insolvency mandates, restructuring advice, liquidations, receiverships, schemes of arrangement and debt recovery.
• Provide commercial litigation support from pre‑emptive injunctions to enforcement and asset recovery.
• Assist banks, lenders and private equity funds with security enforcement and regulatory investigations.

Required profile

• Commonwealth‑qualified lawyer (England & Wales) with 5‑7 years post‑qualification experience in an international law firm.
• Excellent academic record, commercially driven and capable of generating revenue.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and support business development across the region.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using legal precedents, time‑keeping and billing systems.
