Associate Technical Consultant – Water Scientist

About the role

Worley is seeking an experienced Associate Hydrologist to join its Water Solutions team across EMEA. The role combines technical leadership, project delivery, client engagement and business development, supporting complex hydrology and water management projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex hydrological, flood risk and drainage studies, providing technical direction and quality assurance.
• Manage multidisciplinary projects, controlling budgets, schedules and risk while ensuring safe, high‑quality outcomes.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, contribute to proposals and identify new business opportunities.

Required profile

• A degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or related discipline.
• Substantial consultancy or industry experience with technical and project leadership responsibilities.
• Chartered status through an appropriate professional institution.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hydrological modelling tools such as FEH, ReFH2, Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, InfoWorks ICM.
• Experience using GIS platforms like ArcGIS and QGIS, and simulation tools such as GoldSim.
