AVP Customer Services (Emiratized)

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is hiring an AVP for Customer Services, an Emiratized position based in Abu Dhabi. The role manages Middle Office and Client Services within Global Private Banking, Brokerage and FAB Securities, supporting the Middle Office and Client Services team while operating within Group policies, organizational governance frameworks and the approved authorization matrix.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Middle Office and Client Services team individually and collectively toward improved performance and quality.
• Identify and prioritize problems and solve them promptly and effectively.
• Regulate on all matters related to policy and procedures.
• Supervise the entire Middle Office and Client Services teams across the FABS Dubai branch.
• Proactively suggest and carry out corrective measures where appropriate.
• Support internal and external audits by fulfilling their demands and providing the required client-related paperwork.
• Consult with and support the regulator (SCA) on client-related needs and paperwork.
• Oversee the institutional desk for client services and middle office so that policies and procedures are followed throughout FAB.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
• Five (10+) years of experience in the financial services industry (brokerage, equity, investment and financial markets).
• In-depth understanding of SCA and market rules and regulations.
• Extensive experience in an analytical role.
• Ability to raise and escalate critical issues so that a solid action plan is developed to resolve daily operational problems.
• Ability to plan and prioritize work, manage and communicate status and meet agreed schedules and deadlines.
• Strong working knowledge of local market products and services.
