AVP Islamic Coverage – Investment & Corporate Banking

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Islamic Coverage will lead client acquisition and onboarding for the Islamic banking franchise. You will identify growth opportunities, build relationships with corporate and investment clients, and deliver Shariah‑compliant financing solutions that align with their strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective corporate and investment banking clients for Islamic finance products.
• Develop and execute acquisition strategies, analysing market trends to drive business growth.
• Lead client meetings, presentations and act as the primary point of contact throughout onboarding.
• Structure, negotiate and execute Islamic finance transactions such as Murabaha, Ijarah and Sukuk, ensuring full Shariah and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor performance of newly acquired relationships and prepare management reports on business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a focus on client acquisition and transaction execution.
• Proven track record of developing client relationships and generating business growth.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Islamic finance structures (Murabaha, Ijarah, Sukuk).
• Understanding of Shariah compliance requirements.
