Barista – Luxury Hotel Coffee Service

About the role

The Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a skilled Barista to deliver high‑quality coffee experiences to hotel guests. You will work in a fast‑paced, service‑focused environment, ensuring each beverage meets the brand’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of coffee drinks—including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty beverages—following established recipes.
• Provide friendly, personalized service, take orders accurately, make recommendations, and handle cash or electronic payments.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, milk frothers, and other coffee‑making equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the coffee preparation area in line with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate needs to management.
• Collaborate with kitchen and dining staff to ensure seamless guest service.

Required profile

• Understanding of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and the hotel’s coffee menu.
• Familiarity with hygiene and safety standards in food‑service environments.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and pay attention to detail in beverage preparation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating espresso machines, grinders, and milk frothers.
• Skill in steaming, frothing milk, and creating latte art.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment maintenance.
• Understanding of hygiene and safety standards for food preparation.
