Bid Manager – Infrastructure & Marine

About the role

The Bid Manager is responsible for securing the future project pipeline across the Middle East and Africa by leading complex, high‑value tenders for marine and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage each tender as a standalone project with full administrative and financial oversight.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary internal and external teams to develop compliant and competitive bids.
• Lead cost estimation, pricing strategy and financial modelling to meet target margins.
• Perform contractual and commercial risk analyses, including review of FIDIC and other international contracts.
• Organise site visits, progress and coordination meetings with clients and partners.
• Handle clarifications and lead commercial and technical negotiations.
• Ensure high‑quality submissions, strict deadline adherence and alignment with corporate governance.
• Support structured handover to project delivery teams after contract award.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 8‑12 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in bid management or tendering.
• Proven track record delivering bids for ports, quay walls, dredging, coastal works, bridges and heavy civil works.
• Experience leading tenders across Africa and/or the Middle East.
• Familiarity with international contract frameworks (FIDIC) and EPC, Design‑Build, ECI models.
• Experience working within consortia, joint ventures or multinational bid teams.
